William Osler, who was one of the founding professors of Johns Hopkins Hospital, once said, “The person who takes medicine must recover twice, once from the disease and once from the medicine.”
Herbal medicine has been around since the dawn of time, for it is the plants that have healed us and assisted in our evolution. Modern medicine is known for its quick acting effects, but equally as positive as some of the effects may be, it is the dark side that scares us, for it is the side effects that can sometimes be worse than the original ailment. We at Woodland Herbal focus on herbal medicine because it is gentler and kinder, yet it can be very effective without many side effects, if any at all. And, it was the original medicine, and to us, it still is.

We have been hard at work like the busy bee, creating care packages that marry our products together into a three-headed approach to assist in a variety of ailments. We’ve discovered that some of our products may be more effective when combined with other approaches, like for tension, headaches and migraines, so we brought together a medicinal salve, aromatherapy candle and a tea, because more often than not, a more complete method is stronger than a singular one. Throughout the winter, we will be working on several other care packages and kits, like that for Anxiety, Focus, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and Addiction Recovery.
